Stop saying “People don’t want to work”. People just don’t want to be loyal to a system that was never loyal to them.

The Cycle Ends Here
Everything runs in cycles, but it seems that traditional forms of employment will not be invited to the next cycle of what it means to be employed. We’ve seen unconventional means of making money such as being an influencer, streaming, posting for ad revenue and a plethora of ways that can stop you from repeating the 9-5 cycle that we have obeyed for too long.
Hearing “No one wants to work” is a statement that echoes from the projection of not playing the game. First of all , no one wants to request time off only to be denied and forced to work a shift that only gives them crumbs of a 30 minute break (seriously, what’s up with that?) . No one wants to feel guilty for calling out sick because just like baseball , 3 strikes and you’re out. Asking for promotions shouldn’t feel like a challenge of walking on a shaky bridge that’s housed by alligators .
When Predictability Becomes A Safety Net
I understand that some find comfort in structure and predictability but understand this is more conditional than it is helpful. It’s easier to know that you’ll follow a daunting routine for pay that doesn’t reflect the work. This is opposed to the risk of a soul aligned path that forces you to cuts ties with being so formulaic so that you can start being powerful. The system isn’t peace if you’re working just to survive and hopefully have enough to cover your bills for the month. It’s a system that has promised a dream of euphoric satisfaction and card board cut-out displays of perfection. In reality it’s a pixelated nightmare that holds a mirror to how you’ve been disguising your survival as strength ,hoping to reach a metaphoric finish line that doesn’t exist.
Survival Is Out and Liberation Is In
So when you say people don’t want to work you’re totally ignoring the fact that people don’t want to play a game that was never developed for them. The rat race is merely who can run on the mill until they burn out past exhaustion. Not to mention the scales being tipped over like a glass of spilled milk when it comes to the relationship between full time hours and not being able to afford basic necessities of living. No one wants to live to just survive anymore!

The Cracked Mirror Of Reflection
I remember before I entered the workforce maybe 10 years ago (I’m showing my age here!) I was told to follow the rules—and accept the pay I was given with no questions asked. Basically I was initiated into being brainwashed. So you mean to tell me I have to work long hours, play truth or dare of when I can’t come in so I either—have to make the day up or give my reason on why I can’t come in. And you know your answer will never be just accepted. It will be dissected like a riddle so that you can be caught in a supposed lie. Ok holdon because this is getting good! On top of that I have to be ok accepting stale breadcrumbs like a peasant in the medieval times because the hierarchy of corporate America will fire me? And I’d burn a bridge that I never intended to save?Perfect! This is a popular soap opera plot that all us all over play in—until we’re casted as an extra in our own lives.
The Pivotal Moment of Realization
So no, it’s not that no one wants to work. No one wants to continue being devalued, and hung on a thread like crunchy laundry on a sunny day. It’s easy to say fuck the traditional system out of anger but this is your moment to realize that your power has been stifled by systems that excel when you’re powerless. Do you want to reluctantly obey a system that nurses apathy or would you rather break the chains that weaponized freedom as laziness?
Your call.
