So you’re just gonna sit here and let your dream be a nightmare? Yeah I’m calling you out like an early 2000s love song.
🎯The Guide to staying in alignment with your dream’s so life doesn’t feel like Tacos without sour cream.

There’s a saying that goes
“If you’re not scared of your dreams then you’re not dreaming big enough”.
Let me be the capital “B” word to fiercely oppose this as fear is its own energy that can undeniably manifest in holding your dreams hostage. We dream big but what happens when external circumstances start making us lose sight of what truly matters? It’s like getting a taco that you anticipated all day only for it to taste like Taco Bell after 10 pm (If you know, you know). Now you’re disappointed and letting the bad taco convince you that everything is wrong (Which it is if there’s no sour cream!). Let your dreams be the reason you want to push forward not the reason on how you “have” to push forward. It’s not a race, and if you are in one, then i’m holding your hand with love to let you know that you don’t have an audience . Wipe your tears away (after you get that good cry out) so I can provide you with some tips on how to stay harmonized.
1.Go For A Walk, Seriously Get Outside
Sitting inside scrolling through your 60th reel will do your mind no favors. It’s time to go for a long walk like Jill Scott said. Studies show that walking boosts your mood as blood flow is increased as well as circulation throughout your brain and body. This will aid in you clearing out any mental fog that is prohibiting you from seeing matters from an altered perspective. You don’t have to walk around the whole town (unless you want to, I might join you actually) but you can start with a few minutes a day and gradually build a routine that is in sync with you. I literally walked to my local USPS like I was on a quest to find gold and my mind was already thanking me for being a productive queen.

2. Journal Like A MF With A Sacred Pen
Pen, pencil, hell even a paintbrush (Actually pass on this), you need to journal. You don’t have to be a seasoned writer to grab a pen and paper to write. The power of journaling is that you’re able to write down all your thoughts in a private judge free zone. You might want to write on how you’re feeling or what path you see yourself headed down, or maybe a vent that reads like a housewives confessional. Start writing down all your goals and what fulfillment you’ll get from achieving them. This will balance out the proactive steps that you take towards your dreams without feeling overwhelmed by how things will play out. Don’t be fancy either, Dollar tree has $1.25 journals and pens, so get to journaling! I like to use a fuzzy journal because hello, jotting my thoughts down in style.

3. Releasing External Outcomes Because Who Cares
You’ll attempt a million and one ways of how to reach your dreams before you lose hope and get discouraged. Let’s stop the merry go-round here as the cycle of expected outcomes comes with disappointing realities. Don’t worry about the outcome, because the journey itself is a beautiful entity. Don’t put yourself in a high-powered role of micromanaging your dreams. It’s like playing tug a war—you are holding on so tight to an outcome, that you can’t see you’re falling in a mud of worry and frustration. Doesn’t sound too good right? Let the rope of expectations go. Things will not always unfold as you expected, but it’ll happen in a serendipitous way that is unpredictable. Think of it like a spiritual lottery that you only win if you detach like a rich auntie that is only seen on holidays.

4. Get Excited Like Life Is Throwing You A Surprise Party!
Treat every step towards your dreams like a celebration! You don’t have to wait for the big wins to be happy, because the smaller wins are just as valuable. Everyday that you choose yourself first, aligns you with your vision and that’s worth a round of applause. Act like a main character walking through a city with rose colored glasses on, not caring that the locals think she’s doing too much. The vibration of excitement is what will propel you forward in sticking to your dreams vision. Whether you want to sing, dance, splurge on new equipment (Guilty, I admit..wanna see my shopping cart?), all you have to do is be thrilled about why you wanted to follow your dreams in the first place. A comeback never looked so good without excitement.
Side note-why did that sound like a verse from a could’ve been 70’s smash hit?

5. Release Burdens And Let That Shit Go
You only have one person to please and that’s you. It is not your obligation to pursue what fancies you due to outside noise. You are not here to be the cash cow, the beacon of hope, or the one with the authority of the world on your shoulders. Normalize putting yourself first rather than falling into people pleasing tendencies. Everyone has their own life to dissect, so be the water being poured into the glass of your dreams. You are here to only do what’s best for your highest good.
I’m not here to preach the choir, but to tell you that the road of following your dreams is not a linear path. Sometimes you’ll get off an exit too early, while at other times stagnancy is like a friend that can’t take a hint of overstaying their welcome. All you have to do is prioritize your needs so that everything can position itself accordingly. Big dreams are meant to catapult you into stepping in your power, so honor that in the best way possible. You got this!
Bottom line is big dreams don’t need to equal big problems or whatever the song said. You need to own your path like you were given a golden set of keys to the city.
