Long story short? Fuck the algorithm.
Im saying this with a full chest and audacity—because seriously who cares?
The algorithm is like a glorified popularity contest disguised as a false strategy to see who will conform to the grain all under the guise of likes and views.
Ask yourself this real question that might probably piss you off at first. If you see 90 people in a week, do you automatically know them?
No?
Then why would 1,000 random views equate to success or instant validation? This is a food for thought that you can’t spit out because deep down, you know that you’re not meant to be digestible.
The Truth You Wanna Spit Out
Many creators spend countless hours trying to break into the algorithm, and use marketing tools that promise SEO growth like money from a tooth fairy. In reality it is all low hanging fruit that’s already rotten. You’re promised a sweet succulent fruit only to be met with worms. That’s how it feels to try to obtain digital status from expected strategies that don’t work for you. I’m sure you created something amazing that should be discussed on a late night talk show but then you’re met with ice cold silence. The silence is enough to echo into a stadium of doubt because the algorithm not working in your favor told you so. Posting consistently doesn’t yield results like the social media gurus try to preach. Sometimes people work at a job for years and no one cares if they’re upset because showing up to perform is the norm. It’s the norm to post to the point where you hope that something sticks like gum because you need an ounce of external validation to move forward.
The Honest Truth You Need To Swallow
Shit takes time. And I mean the content with substance that doesn’t compromise your morals and integrity. There’s too many talented creatives out there who are shifting gears to be more palatable. You will either cater to everyone like a public water fountain, or you will water your planted seeds like it’s a sacred garden. It’s okay to post and get no views or traction. It’s okay to be in the invisible stage because guess what? No one is putting you on a pedestal of heavy expectations. When you go to a restaurant you wait for the chef to be done preparing your meal right? You don’t see the chef because they are in the kitchen making sure your meal isn’t microwaved (Unless you’re at Cheesecake Factory). That’s how it is when you post. No one may see you now but they’ll feel your arrival that’s served on a hot dish. Leave the comparison behind someone else’s screen and do content that feels like joy. Not an obligation. You may not get monetized physically but rest assured you get a spiritual currency for having the guts to put yourself out there unapologetically.

The Algorithm We’re Dismissing
Wave goodbye to pleasing algorithms and say hello to no longer caring. This probably sounded like some b.s liberation line but why are you still caring to mold yourself? I remember on the old school calculators where if you type in a huge number you got the dreaded error code. That’s the reality of doing a million strategies, expecting rapid results only to be slammed into another spiral or being unseen. You don’t need to move up the algorithm’s totem pole. You need to excuse yourself from asking for permission and just start doing without a second thought.
No more strategies, no more hot SEO keywords and no more asking to be included in a system that sees views as milestones and virality as surface-level triumph.
